The 10 Commandments of a Christian Home Based Business
VII.
Thou Shalt Invest.
You will see a stick man running on this page. Like any jogger he is
investing in his health. If someone wants to be healthy, they invest
in their health.
If you want a healthy business, you need to invest into it. In
addition to start up costs, you will need the ongoing investment of
training and marketing. This is simply part of owning your own business.
You may be one of those who do not want to invest any money into a
business, and that is fine - BUT, just acknowledge then that what you
are really looking for is a work at home job, not a business. There
is nothing wrong with that. Check out the link "Jobs"
to the left and my friend Ann Hall may be able to assist you in your
finding something.
If you are wanting a Christian Home Based Business, you will need to
invest. One of the reasons I like the network marketing model of
business is that the initial investment can be very low (under $1000)
to get a business up and running. (Feel free to email
me and ask for the "whole 9 yards." To get going with
my team in everything I do is less than $900! I share with you
everything up front - no surprises later.)
You will want to invest in on-going training to
continually improve also. Another reason I love mlm is that you can
learn as your grow. You don't have to go to college for 4 - 8 years,
and then potentially make a full time salary. You can start part time
and as grow in wisdom as your business grows. At the end of 4 - 8
years you can be at a 6 figure income with 3 huge advantages over the
college route:
#1. The income can be residual. It will keep coming in
after you quit working.
#2. You don't have any huge college bills to pay.
#3. Many times, your income streams can be transferred
to a family member if you want them to, or when you die.
If you want the rewards and income of a professional
business, even though having a Christian Home Based Business doesn't
take tens of thousands of dollars for a degree, it does require you
to invest. A good guideline is initial investment of $1000, and
monthly budget which includes a marketing budget of $200 - $500
depending upon the business. Other businesses than mlm obviously vary
greatly in start up, inventory, shipping costs, etc.
